Microgreens
So, what exactly are microgreens? Microgreens are essentially just very young vegetable greens harvested soon after the original dicotyledon leaves have developed, within a couple weeks of seeding. One of the major benefits of microgreens, along with their flavor, is their nutrient density. Some studies have shown that microgreens can contain up to 25 tims the nutritional value of the mature plant by weight! This means 1oz. of broccoli microgreens has the same nutritional value of 25oz. of mature florets.

Vertical farming is simply put, the future of agriculture. This indoor method allows for hyper-local growing anytime, anywhere. Our operation is located in the Wash Park West neighborhood mere miles from downtown Denver, ensuring your product will always be at the peak of freshness.
The Pure Method
Forget Organic! Here at Wash Park Microgreens we grow by the PURE Method. This means we use no fertilizers, no pesticides, and no soil. The only ingredients that go into our microgreens are the plant seeds, pristine water and the 100% natural coconut fiber pads that serve as our growth medium in place of soil. That's it. All plants are grown in 100% certified food safe plastics and meet the standards of veganic produce.
We Sell Living Greens
Our greens are sold alive with their root structures completely intact. This means the plant is conducting all of its regular self-sustaining activity up until the very moment of consumption. This ensures the optimum freshness for the consumer.
We Learned from the Best
We've studied under the tutelage of Larry Hountz with City-Hydro out of Balitmore, Maryland. Larry is an absolute pioneer in the microgreens and hydroponics communities, trailblazing growing methodology for many years. In fact he even consults with NASA about how to best grow produce in space!
A History of Farming
My grandfather farmed the land of the Mississippi Delta for almost his entire life the old fashioned 20th century way. We hope to carry on that proud tradition of farming but for the 21st century, in the way of the future, the vertical farm.
